72 hours intensive drive against corruption ends

A special 72 hrs drive which was launched from 31st January, 2018 to check corruption in railway establishment as per directives of the Railway Ministry ended o­n 1stFebruary. The drive specially covered commercial establishments throughout N.F.Railway like stations, UTS, PRS centres, TC office etc including running train.An awareness drive was also launched to create awareness amongst railway users to discourage corrupt practices involving railway officials. Two Vigilance Helpline numbers 155210 and 9435550967 were also launched for general public to inform about corrupt practices during this period.

 During this period ambush checking drive were also taken up at potential places of corruption to detect any such cases. During the check few irregularities were detected by the vigilance team comprising of officers, inspectors and RPF personnel. Disciplinary action including suspension was taken in cases where discrepancies were detected.
